ECU ACADEMY

Individuality in professional knowledge education is necessary because people are intellectually unique. Some people need formal classroom and scheduled activity. Others function more effectively with independent learning, which allows them to pursue their interest at their own pace. Each candidate at European Continental University (ECU) is expected to grow in areas of personal interest. Understanding this concept by our Founder, he formulated three dedicated academies to cater the needs every matured individuals. This vision came out as Accreditation for Career Progress Development (ACPD), Affirmation for Prior Experience & Learning (APEL) and Academic Learning Tutorials (ALT). The time needed to complete the requirements for a professional knowledge degree depends upon the candidates’ learning habits. Remember that ECU programme are for the mature and motivated adult, if utilised properly you will have great success in earning your professional knowledge degree which you dearly deserve. It is not where you acquire qualification, But where you want to be!


ACCREDITATION FOR CAREER PROGRESS DEVELOPMENT (ACPD)


Accreditation for Career Progress Development (ACPD) scheme is dedicated to the individual with basic education, but who does not have any formal higher academic or professional qualifications but has on the job training since employment and has sufficient work experience to confirm the area of work specialisation. As this qualification is considered purely on the Work Based leaning, it is compulsory that every candidate has to attend minimum of three oral examinations and submission of Reflective Work Experience Accomplishment Assignment minimum of 3,500 words(Detailed Curriculum Vita) to complete the assessment process. The candidates who have earned their qualification through this scheme are officially describing themselves as Work Based Professional Knowledge Bachelor of Management (BMgt.) or Master of Management (MMgt.) or Doctor of Management (DMgt.). This abbreviation will differentiate from the traditional academic qualification. Therefore, every candidate who has earned their Work Based Professional Knowledge Degree Qualification must describe themselves in this manner. Failure to do so, they can be prosecuted for failing abide by the rules and regulation of the awarding policies of ECU.


Affirmation for Prior Experience & Learning (APEL)


Affirmation for Prior Experience & Learning (APEL) is another scheme offered by ECU for the individuals who does have formal traditional academic or higher education qualifications but holds professional and vocational qualifications along with hands on work training since employment with sufficient middle and senior managerial work experience to confirm the area job specialisation. It is compulsory that, every candidate has to attend minimum of three oral examinations and Bachelor candidate has to attend 2-3 months, Master Candidate 4-6 Months and Doctorate Candidate 9 months Professional Workshop and Seminars. Add to this submission of Reflective Work Experience Accomplishment Assignment minimum of 7,000 words (Detailed Curriculum Vita) to complete the assessment process. The candidates who have earned their qualification through this scheme are officially describing themselves as Work Based Professional Knowledge Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA.) or Master of Business Administration (MBA.) or Doctor of Business Administration (DBA.). Failure to do so, they can be prosecuted for failing abide by the rules and regulation of the awarding policies of ECU.


Academic Learning Tutorial (ALT)


Academic Learning Tutorial is the Academy dedicated to facilitate traditional tutorial learning methods to earn a Professional Academic Qualification from the European Continental University. To this effect ECU has joint hands with European Business School (EBS) in offering these learning facilities since 2011 through their dedicated faculties and professional academics. This scheme is dedicated for the school leavers and matured individual who wishes to progress their career advancement by following class room workshop and seminar or on a distance learning methods to achieve their respective qualifications. The candidates who have earned their qualification through this scheme are officially describing themselves as Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Science (BSc) or Master of Arts (MA) or Science (MSc) or Doctor of Professional Studies (D.P.S.) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Failure to do so, they can be prosecuted for failing abide by the rules and regulation of the awarding policies of ECU.
