HONORARY PATRONS


The Honorary Positions are held by respected and experienced professionals who are well accepted and detached from any controversy and who could handle any sensitivity issues to support of the University in relation to public coordination. The Honorary Patrons’ foremost civic responsibility is to attend all Convocation Ceremonies and public functions as the International Representatives of the university. ECU’s Executive Board of Trustees and Governors categorise the following designations are coming under thepositionof HONORARY PATRONS.

The Senate Rectors occupy a significant position in the university. The Senate Rectors are the Honorary Academic Professionals in the field of Vocational and Professional Education. The Court of Governors has the privilege of nominating appropriate professionals to this tangible position. It is one of the vital positions of the university’s committees. The Office of the Senate cultivates collaboration on behalf of the University and advice in regard to changes in policies and practices that affect the academic life of the university as a whole. It also assists in relation to organisational changes, core values and the well-being, academic collaboration and administration of the University President and Vice Presidents.

PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENTS


The President and Vice-Presidents are the Chief Commanding Officers of the University to give a high prestige image to the quality standard of the university qualifications. Their prime function is to observe and exercise general supervision over all activities of the university. The President as the main academic professional will coordinate directly with the Executive Court of Governors. The Vice-Presidents are selected and appointed by the Executive Court of Governors and is an honorary high ranking position of the university. It is a lifelong appointment and therefore on resignation, retirement or death of the President or Vice Presidents the Executive Court of Governors shall nominate a replacement to the vacant position immediately. The President shall have veto power to affiliate with any reputable educational and business organisations and governments for the benefit of the university. This power shall be exercised by sending a written executive order to all the Committees of the university in all matters concerning the welfare of the university under the Executive Court of Governors plenary power. This requires the President and Vice-Presidents to be accountable to the Executive Court of Governors for every aspect of the conduct and development of the University.

SENATE RECTORS


The Office of the Senate cultivates collaboration on behalf of the University and advice in regard to changes in policies and practices that affect the academic life of the university as a whole. It also assists in relation to organisational changes, core values and the well-being, academic collaboration and administration of the University.

EXECUTIVE COURT OF GOVERNORS


The sole Life Member with Power of Veto will be the Executive Governor General. The Executive Governor General has the right and the power to nominate any individual for any Official Status of the university’s operation in consultation with the other officials of the university. The Court of Governors will meet twice in a year to oversee the entire operations of the University.

COUNCIL OF INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARS AND EXECUTIVE SENATE LEGISLATURE


The ECU’s Executive Court of Governors wishes to maintain and confirm of their operational infrastructure do meet the international university quality standards. The Executive Senate Legislature (ESL) is fully answerable to the Court of Governors with regards to the formulation of the rules and regulations in awarding concepts and procedures. Any change in the operation or adoption must have the final approval of the Court of Governors. The Vice and Deputy President of the Executive Senate Legislature are responsible for the entire supervision of the day to date operation of the University. The Pro- President is responsible for the Learning Programmes. The Court of Governors has the final authority in determining whether to extend or terminate an individual’s position within the Executive Senate Legislature. The officials hold their positions on an honorary basis.

The COUNCIL OF INTERNATIONAL LEARNING ACADEMICIANS are fully answerable to the Board of Governors and Trustees in regards to the formulation and execution of Assessment, Examination and verification entire rules and regulations in regard to the awarding concepts and procedures.

STEERING COMMITTEES


The Steering Committees will implement and execute the vision and mission of the University. Committee of Conferment will consult and analyse degree awarding concepts and methods. This Committee’s prime concern is to evaluate individual credentials for honorary awards from the university and the affirmation of Professorships. Committee of Publication and Research will launch into publication of reading and research materials and to advice on all aspect of the University’s Business Development and Research Methodology. Committee of Academics will look into all aspects of Professional and Vocational Programmes of the University. Committee of Awards will focus and develop appropriate schemes for assessing and awarding appropriate Credit allocation for Prior Learning and Experience and for assessment of the merits of each individual’s achievement. Committee of Ceremonies will focus and organize functions including annual graduation and alumni dinner.
