ECU’S LEGAL STATUS


European Continental University holds a certificate of incorporation and good standing statement after 10 years operation from the State Secretary of Government of Delaware with the registration number of 02254641 with the Authentication number 3914155 dated 05-31-05. This was certified under the Convention de La Hayed u 5 October 1961 with registry number 0254641 on the 31-05-2005. Under common law precedent concerning university title and conducting theappropriate awarding scheme on the understanding as a Professional Knowledge University. ECU is legally permitted to conduct all activities properly to an international, private institution of postsecondary professional knowledge education, including the conferral of professional knowledge degrees up to the doctoral level, in any jurisdiction that permits this activity. ECU operates its incorporated office, in the State of Delaware, USA, the International Coordinating Administrative office in Great Britain managed and operated by UK-Commission for Consistent Learning (UK-CCL), who are the Founder Trustees and Assessors and Verifiers for all ECU’s awards. UK-CCL supervises the International Business Development offices in respective countries approved by the Executive Board of Governors. ECU wishes to state that under the statute governing its incorporation, it does not offer professional educational activities within the State of Delaware, USA as the corporation is a non-domicile. ECU makes no representations concerning the acceptance of its Professional Knowledge Degrees neither in the United States of America nor in United Kingdom. As stated above ECU awards are conferred under foreign degree-granting authority in the form of its corporate charter from the office of State Secretary of Delaware, USA.

The Founder being a forward thinking visionary individual has dedicated himself since the latter part of 1996 to developing a certification option for matured work experienced individuals, who has no paper qualification but has tremendous work experience as a Licensed Working person. The important accreditation for ECU is the incorporation certification from the State Secretary of Government of Delaware, USA added to this, the ECU holds the affirmation certification from the State Secretary of Government of Delaware, USA with the Convention de La Hayed u 5 October 1961 with registry number 0254641 on the 31-05-2005. Furthermore ECU hold accreditation from UK-Commission for Consistent Learning (UK-CCL) which is a Professional Educational Institution as firm with standardisation of ISO 9001:2008 Certification who is the ECU’s Assessors, Examiners and Verifiers. Furthermore ECU qualification has the UK-CCL’s Professional Quality management Standards (PQMS). Along with ECU awards as one of UK’s Non Charted Professional Bodies the Corporation of Executives &Administrators (CEA), sister institution the Consortium of Entrepreneurial Administrators for Professional Development (CEAPD) Eminent Certified Membership. Since 2011, ECU became institutional member of International Accreditation Organisation (IAO), American Association for Higher Education and Accreditation (AAHEA), US Distributive Learning Association (USDLA), California University FCE, The Human Resource Management Institute recognized by U.S. Government and many more to come.

Therefore, by understanding the above statement of accreditation it is an explicit explanation to any individual’s concern. The ECU Board of Governors will pursue with further accreditation as and when possible. Predictable future needs and intentions as far as using Professional Knowledge Degree is a prime concern that depends on the recognition of policies, which every institution holding in relation to accreditation. ECU ACCREDITATION


ECU cannot undertake to make these enquiries for any individual or makes no representation as to the acceptance of its Professional Knowledge Degrees by third parties except where a formal written agreement between the ECU and the third party in question is in force. ECU’s learning schemes are designed for a world-wide audience, and therefore are not written to meet any specific licensing requirements in any particular state or country. It would be impossible for any professional university to meet all licensing requirements for every state, every province and every nation. Those considering a professional learning degree for licensing purposes are directed to carry out local enquiries in their own country concerning such matters by contacting whichever local bodies the applicant deems relevant to his or her purpose. Please be aware and remember that European Continental University is not higher education accredited or licensed by an agency recognised by the federal government of the United States of America. But ECU wishes to state that in the United States of America, many federal state and private organisations require candidates to hold U.S.-accredited degrees in these situations it is the responsibility of the individual concerned to establish whether a foreign degree will be an acceptable alternative. ECU makes no representations concerning the acceptance of its Professional Knowledge Degrees in the United States of America. ECU wants to give a note of caution in relation to professional licensing and transfer of credit, and this should be done by all universities. The transfer of credit from one university to another is always at the discretion of the receiving university and generally depends on compatibility of accreditation. Again, applicants who wish to seek transfer credit must establish through prior enquiry with the university concerned that they will accept transfer credit from ECU.

ECU QUALITY


ECU believes strongly in their standards of assessment and quality of delivery and therefore does not make any representations as to the transfer of credit of its qualifications. As ECU’s qualifications are to the Professional High Quality Standards of any Non-Orthodox university. For the general understanding that, the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) based in Chicago, The American Council on Education, the University of the State of New York and other international educational agencies including United Kingdom’s Credit Accumulation Transfer Scheme (CATS) have established and published comprehensive guidelines for converting prior learning and work experience into academic credit. It is estimated that over 2,000 colleges and universities worldwide now follow these and other guidelines, or have adapted them to meet their own needs and situations. ECU being a Non-Orthodox Professional Knowledge University has its own policy on Credit Transfers. ECU addresses the needs and importance of adult learners and is part of a strategy to widen access to professional qualifications for all learners. It can provide a structure that will attract working adults who would otherwise remain outside the life of a Professional Educational Establishment."

ECU ADAPTS A TRICO CONCEPT


Step One: -

The Candidates have to follow the learning path schemes, namely the Accreditation of Career Progress Development (ACPD) or Affirmation of Prior Learning and Experience (APEL). (Methodology:-Assignments, Project Work, Workshops, Seminar or Oral Examination Scheme). These are schemes that stimulate candidates differently from other traditional orthodox universities. The candidates will have to satisfy the requisites before they are deemed to have passed or attained completion of the ECU’s learning programmes. The learning programmes of the ECU are a dual process and candidates are also measured to see if they qualify for the Consortium of Entrepreneurial Administrators for Professional Development (CEAPD) Eminent Certified Membership. This takes the candidates to step two.

Step Two: -

If the candidate wishes to take the route to follow the ECU learning programme, he/she will enrol for a dual programme which is jointly offered by the ECU and the CEAPD. The strength of the ECU learning programme, where the UK is concerned, is that a long established UK professional educational institution is jointly monitoring the progress of the candidate. The candidate has to satisfy this dual monitoring concept as the candidate will receive the CEAPD Eminent Membership along with ECU Professional Knowledge degree Qualification. This joint monitoring method will raise the ECU qualification to a professional standard more than even a traditional route due to this dual process. The CEAPD is a unique international professional body incorporated in Great Britain as a non- profit quasi charity professional body. Step Three: -

ECU candidates are assessed, examined and verified by UK-Commission for Consistent learning (UK-CCL). This gives the ECU candidate the privilege of obtaining an Equivalency Certification issued by UK-CCL and this additional confirmation will strengthen the ECU award of Professional Quality Management Standards.
